We are an open group of friendly and caring Christian people who form part of the vibrant community that is Chapel Allerton. We are people of all ages and backgrounds, sharing together in our journey through life with God.
It is our aim to show God's love for all people and renew confidence of God's presence and action in the world.
As Christians, we believe that Jesus came to show God's love for everybody by serving others. We too hope to show God's love by serving the many needs of our diverse community and offering our friendship to you.
We offer acts of worship of different styles. Open prayer times, children and youth activities, house groups and much more. Our two buildings are also home to many community activities.
Anybody and everybody is welcome to share in any of our acts of worship. We strive to make regular attendees and visitors feel welcome and part of our community, whether you want to just sit quietly at the back or be more involved.
Any young person is welcome to join one of the youth groups, they do not need to attend church. It is worth checking though to see if there is a waiting list.
Please Note All our young peoples workers and helpers are CRB checked. The Methodist Church takes very seriously the safeguarding of its young and vulnerable people. We also have a comprehensive safeguarding policy in place which is regularly reviewed.
We also offer a range of pastoral services. We can offer a baptism, dedication or thanksgiving service for your child. We also offer a Christian service of marriage. Any of these can be arranged by talking to Andrew, our Minister.
Whilst we love to celebrate happy occasions with you, we would also like to support you through the sad and difficult times, such as the loss of a loved one, their funeral and the coming to terms of life without them.

Why the Methodist Church?
Good question! There are several things that make us who we are, too many to mention here. Perhaps one of our greatest strengths is the diversity of people we have and the different understandings of the Christian faith that they bring that makes our journey together with God so exciting and challenging.
We find in John's gospel the following words of Jesus:
'I have come that you might have life; life in all its fullness'
Our hope is that we can journey together with you, as we seek God through Jesus, and life in all its fullness.
